Annual Dinner 2009 - YHA Eskdale

The AGM and annual dinner will take place
on Saturday 14th March 2009. We are doing things a little
differently this year in that we are eschewing the normal
hotel location in favour of hiring a YHA hostel for the weekend
and bringing in caterers. This is in Eskdale in the Lakes
- caterers have yet to be finalised but rest assured, we are
actively researching options. The venue sleeps 44 when hired
out as a group and is purpose built to be child-friendly (they
even provide cots).

The idea is that those of you with children
can bring them along - the venue holding both accommodation
and catering in the one location should help. Hopefully those
of you who have taken time out of the club in recent years to
have children can take advantage of this opportunity to meet
up with everyone. The cost for accommodation for the entire
weekend is £25 for adults, £10 for children requiring beds (any
children still at the cot stage are free). Due to the nature
of the booking, this is a cost for the weekend, rather than
per night, so all spaces are for both Friday and Saturday nights.
Don't forget that this year there will be no transport costs
from getting to the venue from your accommodation and this is
way cheaper than hotels. Cost of the meal is yet to be decided
but should be around the £25 mark based on the caterers we are
currently looking at. |
